Gutrazda!

My lastest effort for Gutrazda: The Movement for revival of the Gothic Language. A blog banner and an anagram for Gutrazda: The movement for revival of the Gothic Language. As you may know, Gothic Language (Gothic: Gutrazda) is the earliest Germanic Language attested in a fully readable context. In adittion to the known datable corpus, this site is plenty of neologisms according to modern life, lessons are pretty easy to follow, so this site offers a great way to start on the language learning. Check out the new banners, the site, and like the button on its Facebook site here:

A Germanic Gothic Bracer.

We had this bracer for sale back in the day, an own designed Gothic eagle with a valknut below. I know there's a big anachronism on it, the barcer was sold and I will not make it again...

Anecdote: This design was stolen by an idiot to make a copy. I do not care if you use one of our designs for yourself, but you must be polite and show some honour and write to us first...unless you want it to use it for a commercial pourpose. We make this for a living, it is not a hobby, so customers paid a lot of money for our works. People must show more respect for customers and the work of others....

Backpack for Spain

Not a whiole traditional Norse or Celtic design for this time, unless the surrounding knotworks. A funny comission work anyway, make for a client in Galicia, Spain. Own design.

Ostrogothic Eagle Bracer.

There are several Eagle Broochs from the ancient Goths in archeology. Eagle was a sacred spirit for Gothic tribes, maybe something imported from their travels in eastern Europe or western Asia. An animal also sacred to Wotan in later times. Even in Xtian times, Goths were worshipping the eagle as a sacred animal. We though that the sons of Gaut still being unconsciously heathens...

The bracer above is painted with gold tincture (not the same as golden tincture), it is based on the Ostrogothic Domagnano treasure from the 6th century CE.
